What changed in HighLevel this week (Oct 16–22, 2026)
A quieter week than last, but one item has a real deadline on it. Here's what changed, what it's good for, and the one thing to watch on each. I pulled every item from HighLevel's official changelog and linked it, so you can read the full notes yourself.

Action needed: WhatsApp marketing moves to MM Lite before October 2027
Meta has said marketing messages will stop going out through the WhatsApp Cloud API on October 13, 2027. After that, every WhatsApp marketing send has to go through Meta's Marketing Messages API, which HighLevel already supports as MM Lite. Your existing templates and phone numbers carry over, and HighLevel says activation takes a few minutes per sub-account.
Why it matters: you have about a year, so there's no panic. But HighLevel's notes say MM Lite adds things the old route won't get: delivery that factors in engagement, animated GIF headers, app deep links, full-path conversion tracking from message to purchase, and cost numbers like spend per template. Meta's own test of more than 12 million messages measured up to 9% better delivery for high-engagement messages.
Watch out: this is for marketing sends only. Service and utility messages stay on the Cloud API as they are today.
Where to find it: in the sub-account, go to Settings → WhatsApp. A banner asks you to turn on MM Lite. Click Enable MM Lite, open the Requests tab in the WhatsApp screen it sends you to, click Respond, then Continue, then confirm the permissions and click Finish. HighLevel suggests starting with your highest-volume sub-accounts.
When you create a service or rental booking from the appointment window, there's now a Booking form section. Click Attach form, fill it in for the customer, and create the booking. Your configured form is preselected, and the contact's name, email and phone are filled in for you.
Why it matters: bookings your team makes by phone or in person can now collect the same intake details as bookings made on your booking page.
Watch out: you can only attach the form while you're creating the booking. It can't be added or edited later. Captcha, product selling and payment parts of the form don't show up in this view.
In a number pool's settings, turn on Ring Incoming Call to selected Users and pick up to 6 team members. Each person's devices ring at the same time, on whatever they've set up: web, mobile, a desk phone or their own phone number.
Why it matters: a call from your ads can reach whoever is free first, instead of sitting with one person.
Watch out: each person's device type comes from their own user settings (Settings → Users/My Staff → Edit → Call & voicemail → Default channel for ring all), so check that if someone's phone doesn't ring.
Calls from Facebook ads used to show up as "Facebook" or "Direct". They now show as Facebook Paid. Calls from TikTok, LinkedIn and Microsoft (Bing) ads, and Google ads clicked inside apps, are labeled by platform too. Visits that come from ChatGPT and similar tools show as their own source.
Why it matters: you can see which ads are actually driving phone calls in your call reports.
Watch out: it only applies to new calls; old calls keep the source they had. Some calls will still say "Direct" when a visitor's browser hides where they came from and the link has no ad tracking code.
Filter HubSpot records before you import them
Area: Contacts & Imports · Released: Oct 22 · Official notes
On the Preview step of the HubSpot importer, you can filter Contacts, Deals, Companies and Tasks by when they were created or last changed in HubSpot, like "in the last 6 months" or between two dates. The screen shows how many records were found and how many will come in.
Why it matters: if you're moving a client over from HubSpot, you can bring in only the recent or active records and skip years of old data.
Watch out: filters only work on HubSpot's Created Date and Last Modified Date, and "in the last" leaves out today. Leave the filters empty and everything imports.
HighLevel added a batch of templates: websites, email, surveys, social posts, and Facebook, Google and LinkedIn ad templates, plus a new snapshot. The notes list them by industry, for example barber shop and ice cream shop Google ad templates.
Why it matters: a faster starting point for a new client in one of those industries.
P.S. If you run WhatsApp marketing for clients, put "enable MM Lite" on your list for the highest-volume account first. It takes a few minutes and you'll have the full year to roll out the rest.
