What changed in HighLevel this week (Oct 12–15, 2026)

HighLevel shipped a lot this week. Here's what changed, what it's good for, and the one thing to watch on each. I pulled every item from HighLevel's official changelog and linked it, so you can read the full notes yourself.

AI Studio now syncs with GitHub, both ways

Area: AI Studio · Released: Oct 15 · Official notes

You can connect a GitHub account to an AI Studio project. HighLevel makes a private repository for it, saves every version you make there, and pulls back changes you make somewhere else, like in Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.

Why it matters: your project's code now lives in a second place you control, with a full history you can roll back. You can also have a developer or an AI coding tool work on it without handing over your HighLevel login.

Watch out: it only works for React (Vite) and TanStack Start projects, and only the branch you connect gets synced. If both sides change at once, you'll have to pick which one wins or split them onto a new branch.

Where to find it: it's rolling out in waves, so not every account has it yet. In your AI Studio project, check the small icons at the top next to Preview. The one that looks like a little box is More; it only shows the word when it's selected. Click it and look for Git in the left list. You'll see a GitHub card to connect and a Download codebase button that gives you the project as a ZIP. Connecting creates a new repository; you can't point it at a repo you already have.

If Git doesn't show up for a teammate, an agency admin can check Settings → Team → (the user) → Roles & permissions → AI Studio → Manage Git & download code.

Live chat built right into AI Studio apps

Area: AI Studio · Released: Oct 14 · Official notes

Ask AI Studio to "add a live chat" and it builds a real HighLevel chat widget into your app, styled to match. Conversations land in the same inbox and contacts you already use.

Why it matters: no separate chat tool to wire up. A visitor's question becomes a contact you can follow up with.

Watch out: there's also an email-chat version for visitors who leave a message, so pick the one that matches how fast you can actually reply.

Better checkouts for AI Studio Payments

Area: AI Studio · Released: Oct 15 · Official notes

You can now choose which checkout fields to show or require, like phone or billing address. You can also split checkout into two steps: save the buyer as a contact first, then take payment.

Why it matters: with two steps, people who start buying and stop are still leads you can follow up with.

Watch out: name and email are always required. You can't turn those off.

WhatsApp offers with a real countdown clock

Area: WhatsApp · Released: Oct 15 · Official notes

A new WhatsApp template type shows a live countdown inside the customer's chat, with a copy-code button and a link under it. You set the deadline each time you send, so one approved template can run campaign after campaign.

Why it matters: the deadline is something the customer can watch, not just words, and you skip waiting on Meta approval for every new promo.

Watch out: if you send it with a deadline that already passed, it still goes out and shows as expired. Check the date before a bulk send.

A rebuilt WhatsApp template builder

Area: WhatsApp · Released: Oct 15 · Official notes

Building WhatsApp templates now happens in one redesigned screen with a live phone preview. Media headers can also pull a different image, video or document for each contact when it sends.

Why it matters: one template can send every customer their own invoice or ticket, instead of cloning a template for each one.

A schema dashboard for your websites and funnels

Area: Websites & Funnels · Released: Oct 12 · Official notes

There's a new SEO & AEO tab that shows the schema (the hidden labels that help Google and AI tools understand your pages) for every page on one screen, with a health rating for the whole site.

Why it matters: you can spot pages with missing or outdated schema without opening each one in the builder.

Workflows can now leave internal notes in conversations

Area: Automations · Released: Oct 14 · Official notes

A new workflow action adds an internal comment to a conversation automatically, and can @mention a teammate.

Why it matters: your team gets the context ("this lead came from the Facebook ad, call before 5") right where they're replying, without anyone typing it.

Meta Pixel checkout tracking got more accurate

Area: Websites & Funnels · Released: Oct 12 · Official notes

The InitiateCheckout event now fires when someone reaches checkout, not when they pay. AddPaymentInfo now sends fuller order details to Meta.

Watch out: if you run Facebook ads, your InitiateCheckout numbers will likely look higher than before, since it now counts everyone who reaches checkout. That's the change in tracking, not a sudden jump in buyers.

Turn features on or off for many sub-accounts at once

Area: Agency / SaaS · Released: Oct 14 · Official notes

Agencies can select a group of sub-accounts and change their feature access in one go.

Why it matters: rolling a feature out to every client used to mean clicking through each account.

Gift card messages in your customer's language

Area: Payments · Released: Oct 15 · Official notes

Gift card emails and texts now go out translated, based on the language setting.

P.S. The GitHub sync is the big one this week. As soon as it shows up in my account, I'll do every step myself and post the walkthrough with real screenshots here.
